Toronto Paramedic Services’ Safe City instructors taught 57 Grade 6 students at Palmerston Avenue Junior Public School cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) as part of community outreach during Heart Month in February.

Students practised hands-only CPR and the use of AEDs using mannequins, with the support of Toronto Paramedic Services instructors.

Toronto Paramedic Services’ Safe City program teaches more than 13,000 Toronto residents first aid and CPR/AED use every year. More information, including course fees and schedules, is available at here.
